Soli Deo Gloria Institute for the Arts, Inc. was started by Dr. Patricia Backhaus, Valerie Floeter, Karen Mary Lippert, Richard Mannisto and Matthew Schlomer in 2002.  The goal of the institute is to promote the use of arts in worship. 

 

The board has determined that this can be done in different ways.  A summer fine arts camp for kids was developed to help train young people.  The summer Band & Fine Arts Camp includes art, theater and dance activities.   

 

The Soli Deo Gloria Brass has provided music for worship in Milwaukee Area WELS churches and other events. 

 

Plans are currently being developed for a woodwind ensemble, a string group and a choral group.  Bible studies related to the arts in worship are being developed.  Future plans include the other arts as well.  Please contact us for more information.
